I frequently hear complaints like, “ I've never gotten big sales from social media .”If your social media marketing isn't working, don't give up. I have often encountered people who sabotage their own web marketing efforts on social networks, including myself! It's easier to say that social media marketing doesn't work than to understand how to get on the road to success.While it's important to build relationships online and be social to sell, there are common mistakes that happen before entrepreneurs even have a chance to get noticed or worse, mistakes that make them  epic .Don't worry, we all make mistakes: every success is the sum of a thousand failures .Let us therefore reflect on some recent and epic communication failures and comment on them together constructively .


But first of all… What exactly does Social Epic Fail mean?Social Epic FailThis Special Data phenomenon consists of a communication failure that offends or unnecessarily provokes online users and consumers, generating dismay or anger in them, leading them to regret being fans or customers of the "incriminated" brand.Yes, the Social Epic Fail is a memorable communication/relational error on the part of those who transmit a promotional message on these online social platforms. It could be a video advert, incorrect copy, a phrase or even a single inappropriate hashtag which expresses a thought not shared by a large number of users .In many cases, the doubt that grips all users of the stories circulating in the media remains: are the errors on social media and the ambiguous messages they convey just a distraction or are they the result of a questionable philosophy of the brand that publishes this content?To answer this question, each case should be analyzed individually.





A certain communication strategy can be studied incorrectly or can really be the result of distraction and chance.Let's see below some curious Social Epic Fails of recent times to better exemplify what and how not to communicate so that a brand does not have to face brand reputation problems!Trenitalia and the free candyTrenitalia , the cornerstone company of Italian rail transport, has recently unfortunately demonstrated the most questionable side of its corporate philosophy. On the occasion of Women's Day on 8 March 2019, Trenitalia proved "available" to give all women who decided to use some of its services... A lemon gummy candy!Parsimony or successful joke? There can be many interpretations of Trenitalia's gesture. One thing is certain: the published message went around the web in a few hours and immediately went viral!Users on social networks did not appreciate Trenitalia's less than generous gift at all. The reactions were the most disparate, maintaining in common the negative opinion towards the bizarre idea had by the company, whose reputation we can say has certainly not gained any points.
